The GPS1001 is a new hardware design developed by GPS Creations. It is a hardware replacement for the older GEC Plessey GPSBLDR2 GPS receiver development system. It may be used to execute the older Plessey code or the latest version of the OpenSource GPS code. The GPS1001 board also has been designed to run in a Linux Operating System or in an older real-time system such as DOS. The hardware permits "on-board" switch selection of bus address and interrupts. The GPS1001 bus interface scheme uses separate lines for address and data providing faster, and more importantly, error-free I/O to the GP2021 correlator. The GPS1001 is an excellent product for the serious GPS student.
